How long your henna design lasts is dependent on several factors. To help you get the most enjoyment from your henna, follow these directions:
Leave the henna paste on as long as possible. I recommend 5 hours. The longer the paste is on your skin, the darker the stain will be.
Remove the dried henna paste by scraping it off. DO NOT use water. Avoid contact with water for 24 hours. Cover the stain with a thick, natural oil, such as olive or coconut oil, when you bathe. Pools and hot tubs will remove your henna stain quickly so it is recommended that you avoid them.
What is Henna?
Henna is a natural paste made from the dried leaves of the henna plant. Henna grows in semi-arid regions such as India, the Middle East and North Africa. Cultures from these regions have been using henna in their rituals and traditions for thousands of years.
The orange dye in henna binds to the keratin in our skin to safely stain it. The stain begins as a bright orange color and darkens over 48 hours.
This color can last as long as 21 days, depending on your skin type, where it is placed, and how diligent you are with after care.
Half Moon Henna paste is made with the highest quality, natural henna powder, water, sugar and lavendar, sweet orange or lemon grass essential oils.
